About Course

Creative problem solving starts with understanding the problem before committing to an answer. Learn to observe real needs, reframe a challenge, generate varied ideas, and test a simple prototype. The course uses approachable examples from services, workplaces, and community projects.

Follow a beginner-friendly path through five modules and 15 lesson outlines. Each lesson identifies three focused study topics, helping you connect the ideas to practical decisions in your own setting.

Course Project: Create and test a low-fidelity prototype for a small everyday problem, documenting the need, ideas, feedback, and revisions.

What Will You Learn?

  • Explore the user's context and define a useful problem statement.
  • Generate varied ideas before selecting a solution.
  • Select a promising idea and build a simple testable representation.
  • Use feedback to revise the idea rather than defend it.
  • Plan a practical next step for implementing a tested solution.
