About Course

Instructional design turns subject knowledge into a learning experience that helps people do something meaningful. Learn to analyze learner needs, define outcomes, sequence lessons, and align practice with assessment. The course uses a small online-course project so each design decision can be reviewed before production begins.

Follow a beginner-friendly path through five modules and 15 lesson outlines. Each lesson identifies three focused study topics, helping you connect the ideas to practical decisions in your own setting.

Course Project: Create a course design blueprint with a learner profile, measurable outcomes, module map, sample activity, assessment plan, and evaluation questions.

What Will You Learn?

  • Identify the learner need and the performance problem a course should address.
  • Write outcomes and align them with activities and assessment.
  • Sequence a clear curriculum with manageable lessons.
  • Plan inclusive materials and useful assessment feedback.
  • Evaluate course usefulness and prioritize revisions.
