About Course

Brisa Laman Kitchen Safety Onboarding Training prepares new team members to work safely, responsibly, and confidently in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen. Learners explore workplace expectations, personal readiness, food protection, equipment safety, sanitation, and incident reporting through authentic situations connected to daily operations at Brisa Laman Beach Kitchen and Bar.

The course begins with an interactive kitchen experience using videos, realistic decisions, quizzes, sequencing activities, matching challenges, and immediate feedback. Learners actively practice grease-fire response, evacuation awareness, correct handwashing, and color-coded cutting-board choices, helping them understand consequences and remember essential safety actions more effectively than passive instruction alone.

Eight focused follow-up lessons extend that experience without repeating its topics. Team members learn safe workwear, movement, receiving, storage, temperature control, allergen communication, equipment use, chemical handling, sanitation, waste management, shift checks, and reporting. This practical progression strengthens attention, confidence, recall, accountability, and safer decision-making throughout every working shift.
